Mistress of Tea awarded prestigious certification.
Zhena's Gypsy Tea, hand-blended Organic and Fair Trade teas, has been awarded the prestigious certification of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation's leading third-party certifier of women's business enterprises.
Zhena's Gypsy Tea has become a global leader in organic and Fair Trade practices and is sold in more than 6,000 retail locations worldwide.
Zhena has uplifted communities in Sri Lanka, India and China, ensuring fair working conditions, childcare, healthcare, maternity leave and education to the women who work in the fields. Additionally, she has become a compelling advocate and example for women in business, collaborating with organizations such as C.E.O. Women. Together the two enterprises have generated economic opportunities for low-income immigrant and refugee women.
